I’ve finally had a good spot to write the latest update… Before sharing some of the good things that have been happening here, I want to first share some information about some decisions I’ve been making.
Best wishes for a Happy New Year!
I hope to post an overdue update shortly.
It's been difficult to get internet signal, bit just a note that I'm here in Chontal. I'll try to keep updates as I can. For now, a photo after a few hours playing with kids:
“Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Mt 19:14)

While helping to bring people together across the Americas as brothers and sisters in Christ, you can also get “hands on” and choose from indigenous artisan goods from the mountains of Ecuador. Come and see! https://www.barriers2bridges.org/giving…/out-of-the-ballpark
A few words from the people of Chontal in Ecuador, hoping for my return. Please consider supporting my going back! https://www.barriers2bridges.org/giving-blog/out-of-the-ballpark
Good for the feast of Francis of Assisi, here's a little view of what I do in Ecuador. Please consider supporting my return! https://www.barriers2bridges.org/giving…/out-of-the-ballpark
Pope Francis shared a reflection about being missionary disciples recently, and some of his remarks resonated with the road I'm on, and on the general theme of "mission to the poor." So I got a little spark in me and expanded on them a bit to share some of my own thoughts, especially as it relates to Barriers To Bridges.
Thank you to all who came last night, it was a special opportunity to see everyone and to be able to share more of the perspective and experience of this mission between Ecuador and the US. Those that were able to stay until the end decided it would be good to meet again in two weeks to discuss our responses.
