Here is a picture from 5 years ago in San Isidro, Ecuador near Christmastime. It was taken inside the refuge encampment for families still without a home after the earthquake in 2016, where I had the great gift of leading up an afternoon of activities for the kids in the encampment.
The best gifts in life are hidden from popularity and pleasure and comfort. Much the opposite, they are in the places that we don’t normally expect, where no one really wants to go.
