A Request for Prayer

Hi everyone, I’m asking folks if you could please keep in your prayers my mother's cousin Sona as she approaches her final moments of life here.

Sonny, as she’s known, has been a dear family member and friend for me and for so many others. She and I became in more contact after my mother’s death back in 2008. After I made the donation for the church in Ecuador, it was Sonny who introduced me to the St. James Society in her parish in the North End of Boston, and it was through the St. James Society that I was able to begin to have support in going to Ecuador and starting the Barriers to Bridges mission. She has been a companion in my own journey since then, and I’m happy that she is surrounded by family in these final times.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where [I] am going you know the way.
— John 14:1-4

Sonny has always been about family, and I know she looks forward to being with those who have gone before her, especially her husband Anthony. May the Lord come and peacefully bring her to the special family dwelling place He has prepared for her.

Thank you in advance for any prayers.
